◆ 各ツールバージョンの確認 ◆
Linux等を使い込むほどに、色々なツールをインストールしますが、これらのツールもバージョンアップなどがされ最新のツールを入れたくなるりますね。
この時、「はて？今入れているバージョンはとでは、どっちが新しいのかな？」などと言うことは良くあります。
ここでは、各ツールのバージョンの確認をして見ましょう。
ほとんどのコマンド（ツール）は、
-V (または-v)
もしくは
--(ハイフン２つ）version
で、確認することが出来ます。
では、実際にRedHat7.3でのtar / gzip / gcc / make / patch のバージョンを確認してみます。
この時、バージョン情報が出力されないものは、インストールされていないことを表します。
◆ tar バージョンの確認 ◆
[root@PENGIN root]# tar --version
tar (GNU tar) 1.13.25

また、この時、存在しないコマンド(含むパスが通っていない)でバージョンを確認した場合は、

bash: zgip: command not found
等と、zgipは、インストールされていないことを表します。
